Endcliffe and Ranmoor Student Villages

Endcliffe and Ranmoor Student Villages

The redevelopment of the Endcliffe and Ranmoor sites provided 3,800 student bedrooms, two student hubs and recreational, support and conference facilities for The University of Sheffield over a four year programme.

Halliday Meecham Architects were selected by Bovis Lend Lease to deliver the project because of a proven track record in this sector- the practice delivered its first student accommodation scheme at Bolton Institute in 1992 and have been involved in the design of over 6000 student rooms since.

Delivered in four phases, the scheme utilised both traditional and modular construction techniques and was linked to a complex decant strategy. Set within two landscaped and wooded sites in the west of the city the buildings are characterised by a palette of materials including terracotta, stone and render.
