New Broughton Village

The £500 million transformation of Lower Broughton is one of the largest regeneration projects in the UK.

Halliday Meecham Architects were appointed by Countryside Properties in partnership with Salford City Council and Contour Housing Group to deliver the first phase of the transformation. The development provided 450 tenure blind houses and apartments, as well as community facilities and green spaces.

Arranged around two courtyards, and including a nine storey apartment block with retail outlets at ground floor, the development established the urban design standards for the later stages of the development.
