At Halliday Meecham Architects we have a creative and collaborative approach to our work and seek to create sustainable and ultimately deliverable projects for our clients.

Our 40 strong team have experience in the design and delivery of innovative and considered projects in a broad range of sectors including education, healthcare, residential and commercial. Our portfolio includes large regeneration projects to small one of houses and incorporates both new buildings and the creative re-use of existing ones.

We provide our clients with creative design solutions to complex design challenges across a broad range of projects and sectors.

We develop and challenge the brief with our clients and understand the context in order to create effective and elegant solutions.

We have delivered innovations like Europe’s tallest green wall and the UKs first 8 story prefabricated residential building .

COLLABORATIVE

Building successful and long lasting relationships is crucial to our work. The practice thrives on collaboration, externally with clients, community groups, consultants and contractors and internally in our open studio where ideas and expertise can be exchanged and problems solved.

BIM is part of our culture and embedded in our collaboration processes with other team members, providing more accurate and coordinated design proposals, and full level 2 information exchanges.

SUSTAINABLE

We believe sustainability should be integrated into projects whatever their size to createcomfortable places to live and work.

The Lennard Jones Building at Keele University was one of the fist buildings of its type to achieve BREEAM excellent and recently our commitment to sustainable design was recognised at the Manchester Architects Design Awards for work at Eastlands homes.

Within the practice we have a certified Passivhaus designer and our environmental management system conforms to ISO BS EN 140001:2004

DELIVERABLE

The practice delivers projects using Autodesk Revit to add value, reduce risk and increase efficiency for our clients. We are delivering projects to BIM Level 2 and providing BIM Coordination to clients including clash detection, reporting, COBie data delivery and Information Management. Our team incorporates Autodesk Certified Professionals and regularly contribute to the Manchester Revit User Group.

Recently new Hospitals for Spire Manchester and Nottingham were completed using Revit, both projects involved extensive collaboration with the design team and sub contractors.

We have Established Protocols working to BS1192 and the PAS/BS BIM L2 suite of documents and our QA procedure conforms to the requirements of ISO BS EN 9001:2008.
